Nucleo Fitness is the only STOTT PILATES studio in the Black Hills with trained and certified instructors incorporating all STOTT PILATES equipment.

We are dedicated to our clients and ourselves to reach health and wellness goals. We have the highest qualified instructors who value the importance of continuing to learn and grow as instructors and continue to deepen their knowledge in the field of health and wellness.

With our expertise and direction; our clients can perform at the highest level; whether that is in daily activities or a sport they love, we will coach them along the way.

Pilates on the Reformer

Nucleo Fitness teaches from the STOTT PILATES methodology focusing on core strengthening and functional movement. In your Reformer class you will move in all planes of movement creating balance, while focusing on improving strength, flexibility, and endurance. Instructors will motivate clients with variety, accountability, and FUN! These classes are designed for all levels. Clients must do an Introductory Reformer Package before joining Pilates on the Reformer.

Private and semi-private classes are available on the reformer.
Starting August 18th at 12:15pm class will run for 5 weeks. Cost is $90 with two free group fitness classes included.

Cardio Reformer Pilates

Nucleo Fitness offers Reformer Pilates combined with Cardio in a cutting-edge workout packed with heart-pumping moves that build strength and burn calories. This total-body cardio with core programing features simple jumping combinations that add variety and intensity to this workout. Between the jumping combinations will be exercises from the Pilates Reformer exercises. These classes are designed for all levels. Clients must do an Introductory Reformer Package before joining Cardio Reformer Pilates.

Mat Pilates with Props

Mat Pilates classes at Nucleo Fitness are different from any video or mat class you have done before. We include our STOTT PILATES methodology focusing on core strength, stability, and focus. You will feel your muscles lengthen and strengthen after each class. Using props will keep the workout fun while adding challenge. Props used could include toning balls, fitness circles, flex bands, and stability balls. This class is for all levels and pairs greatly with Pilates on the Reformer.

Pilates Equipment

The Pilates Reformer is a piece of equipment used in Pilates created by Joseph Pilates and improved by STOTT PILATES professionals. The reformer is unique to other strength training machines in that has spring resistance versus a weight load. As instructors we can use the spring resistance to increase or decrease the challenge in any exercise.

Nucleo Fitness is a fully equipped studio with all the Pilates equipment and the common theme is the spring load to create resistance. No two workout sessions will be the same with the variety of equipment used. For example; we incorporate the Chair, Cadillac, Barrels, and various mat tools in our programing. Our instructors have been trained by STOTT PILATES Instructor Trainers on these various pieces of equipment to give our clients a safe and effective workout each time they train with us.

STOTT PILATES ® is a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates. Co-founders Moira and Lindsay G. Merrithew, along with a team of physical therapists, sports medicine and fitness professionals, have spent more than a decade refining the STOTT PILATES method of exercise and equipment. This resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation, making it one of the safest and effective methods available.
